๐ŸŸขOBS Software (FOSS or free!)
Download (Windows, Mac, Linux) | OBS

Make noise for the ๐ŸŽ‰ world of FREE SOFTWARE and high-speed disks. Only at limitsite.com.

I really like this video recording software. I had 3 options for Windows 11 Home edition video creation. First option was "Camera" which is included. It did not process mouth-to-sound fluidness and thus was disqualified from being considered practical to use. "Clipchamp" (by Microsoft) also did not go so well for me. The problem with Clipchamp was the problem. Well, I did not even bother using it after reinstalling Windows and needing a video recorder option for the Zephyrus G16 ASUS AMD Laptop, which previously had shown graphics artifacts and instability.ย  So my choice with the new OS install was OBS Software ๐Ÿ“ท. I will use it to generate MP4 files, if I need. Maybe I'll bring discussions to the table here at Limitsite.com. ๐Ÿ“ฃ I also have tried some of "Capcut", for creating social content. I'm a beginner at that but might have it working.

USB Disk Virtualbox ๐Ÿ’พ
1 TB disk Buy | Amazon ๐ŸŸก
Download | Virtualbox.org

Overnight reinstall of Windows 11 got me going happily along today. To open/restore my past Virtualbox virtual instances I had to copy Virtualbox VM's folder from the Sandisk Extreme 1 TB USB SSD backup. I noticed that still the USB SSD can slow to 0kb/sec @ 8 minutes, out of nowhere. Then I did what I sensed: rebooted after disconnecting the disk by the icon tray disk eject feature. The problem: the slow speed of 0kb/sec went away and upon rebooting it hits the 1000MB/sec highs again! This says that Microsoft Windows 11 is not yet perfect, and to add more I've had issues with icons locking in the taskbar.

So, Microsoft is to blame for some of this. Overall, I'm happy with my new reinstallation of Microsoft Windows 11. This mediacreationtool.exe software was rather slow, but once it was done I had to reinstall from the USB disk I made. There were problems with my ASUS laptop getting graphics artifacts, but I again, used the disk we used, which was Sandisk's 1TB Extreme SSD, which is (by shipping from Amazon) to counter a hardware/software problem. Price for this disk is at around $99, and you can also grab the case. It can get your Windows 11 setup boot disk just fine, but I haven't yet tested installing Linux setup ("Calamares") on the disk, but I plan to watch it boot. Since it seemed to get Microsoft Windows 11 working without flickering, I am assuming it is to work okay. Using the "Disk Management" utility in Windows allowed for resizing drives allowed for use.

๐Ÿ”ตUtility Books, up to 4 TB (2000 MB/s) as an SSD USB disk,
๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ปIdeal for Windows 11/10 Maintenance, & Linux/MacOS. Software:๐Ÿ“” tmux 3

I add comment for this USB: that you have the option of a 2 TB PRO 2000 MB/sec. version, or a 4 TB (also PRO) edition. The 2 TB does 2000 MB/sec, which is a good value because it's only about $100 more from the $99 one that is only 1 TB 1000MB/sec. Use Full-Disk Encryption from Sandisk with your Extreme and Extreme Pro SSDs with all editions of the SanDisk Extreme SSD. They really support the product with free software disk encryption free of charge. Then, see also: inside this picture is the tmux guide (book), which costs $22, but this linked copy is the new one, for tmux 3.2 (~$33). As so, although my copy is somewhat outdated, you might be able to do better with the $33 version. I think that AI can be useful for comparing differences in older and newer software, or give tips about books. Particularly, in this day and age. Recently I sampled the portal for Google's Vertex AI (API), it provided useful features for summarizing Reddit.ย

Enough with that though, why tmux is an application that allows resourceful use of a Linux terminal is covered in that book. I'm awaiting some skill in Python to become used when needing. I might use tmux in the future. Also, both Python and tmux go good with Vim. Vim is this writing tool which I discovered while living in Palo Alto and doing some college. They all use this to code on their computers, the advanced AGILE theory DevOps technology utilized on a small footprint is what I am interested in. Deep dive with me if you know that's what you want to be doing, and I'll explain.

Note: The USB disk and optional case are sold separately.

Premium and Freemium Windows Disk Management

Using the NIUBI Software is immensely useful for adjusting and calculating disks in Windows 11. It gives an invaluable representation through its interface.
I was able to get by using the free copy, but this software probably has some features if you decide to pay for it.

 More maintenance to come!
